Infinite Electronics Recycling held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Jan. 24 at its facility in Weirton to celebrate two years of operation in the city and a planned expansion. IER has two operations in Weirton, with one site serving as a de-manufacturing and processing center and the other as its IT center and data security facility. IER recycles all forms of computers and electronics, medical and industrial equipment. Surrounded by employees during the event are, in front, from left, Pat Ford, executive director of the Business Development Corp.; Weirton Mayor Harold Miller; and Andrew Orbovich and Dan Nunkovich of Infinite Electronics Recycling. The company employs 17 people in Weirton. A grant of $37,500 from the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection will allow for the purchase of a truck and forklift.
